Mass Choir

The Mass Choir as a department of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Music Ministry was announced and established by Daddy G.O at the 2014 Music Ministry Solemn Assembly. The department was thereafter commissioned at the September 2014 Power Must Change Hands programme.

The primary task of this department is to coordinate and supervise logistics for Mass Choir engagements. This also includes the disbursements of transport fares to members whose region cannot afford to sponsor their transport fares to the rehearsal venue.

Interestingly, the mass choir often seen during the flagship programme – Power Must Change Hands, has been nicknamed ‘the massive choir’ (this choir comprises choristers from Lagos regions and environs). To the glory of God, we have witnessed such massive growth as a result of the immense support received from our Father-in-the-Lord, Dr D.K. Olukoya, some Regional Overseers and Pastors. Hence, in order to continually record a large turnout of choristers and other music ministers during church programmes, we solicit the support of all our Pastors and Regional Overseers, especially as it concerns the transportation of their choristers to and fro rehearsal venues. This request applies to MFM churches worldwide. Besides, the availability of a large choir to minister to God’s people is a response to the call in Psalm 95:1 ‘O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation’. We encourage everyone concerned to kindly follow the lead of Daddy G.O in his support for the Mass choir and the music ministry at large. It is our prayer that God will continually empower His church to support us, even as we sing to the glory of His name.

Also, the Mass choir department encourages regional choir leaders to ensure they constantly upgrade their knowledge of music by attending training sessions. For example, at the international headquarters, in order to facilitate the training of the Mass Choir, regional choir leaders come over for training every second Sunday of the month. This is organised to further help them in training their choir at the regional level before they all gather at the international headquarters for the last rehearsal on the Sunday preceding PMCH.

It is expected that each state in Nigeria and nations of the world where MFM exists, would constitute Mass choirs to minister at Special programmes and crusades as deemed necessary.
